PURPOSE:To provide a patterning substrate plate for the preparation of a food such as cake, capable of applying a large-sized or continuous pattern to the food, by covering the surface of a glass plate with a protecting resin plate having desired pattern cut through the plate, and sand-blasting the surface of the glass plate, thereby forming an engraved pattern to the surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the glass plate 4 having a proper thickness is covered with a protecting resin plate having desired pattern cut through the plate, and the glass surface is sand-blasted to form a relief pattern 5 on the surface. The obtained engraved glass plate is used as the objective substrate for the preparation of a food. A base material of food such as cake, agar, boiled fish paste, etc. and a material different from the above or having different color are filled by using the substrate, and the excessive part is removed leaving the base material 2 in the form of the pattern. After removing the substrate, the base material is subjected to various finishing processes 3 such as cutting, steaming, dressing, etc. to obtain a food furnished with a relief pattern 1 embedded to the surface of the food and having different composition or different color from the base material 2. |
