The electronic apparatus comprises: a physical button to be 5 manipulated by a predetermined manipulation; a sensor to measure ambient illuminance when (i) the electronic apparatus is operating in a power saving mode or a power off mode and (ii) the physical button is manipulated by the predetermined manipulation; and a controller arranged to perform an operation corresponding to the predetermined manipulation of the physical button when it is determined that the ambient illuminance measured by the sensor is io greater than or equal to a predetermined illuminance value.
