PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of conductive paste on a P-N junction section by forming a recessed section to a fixing surface between a light-emitting element and an external lead. CONSTITUTION:A recessed section 17 slightly wider than a light-emitting element 11 is formed to the flat surface of an external lead 13. Adhesives such as conductive paste 12 is injected into the recessed section 17, and the light-emitting element 11 is fixed. Accordingly, the quantity of conductive paste applied is controlled easily, a creep-up to a P-N junction section 15 of paste is prevented, and the generation of a defective short circuit can be eliminated. |
