PURPOSE:To produce a homogeneous heat-shrinkable tube, by filling a stock tube with a heating fluid to heat the stock tube uniformly and enlarging diametrically the stock tube in a manner similar to the mechanical expanding method. CONSTITUTION:The inside of an outer pipe 2 is opened by moving a movable chuck 7a, a stock tube 21 is fitted on expansion bars 20 held at the minimum rotational diameter by clicks 7d of a stationary side chuck 7b, and the movable chuck 7a is returned to the original position, so that the clicks 7c of the chuck 7a and the expansion bars 20 are engaged, and the movable chuck 7a is joined to the corresponding end of the outer pipe 2 to seal the outer pipe 2. The diameter of the outer pipe 2 is a little larger than the prescribed expansion diameter of the tube, and by inserting a spacer pipe 22 into the outer pipe 2, the final diameter that will be attained by expansion can be controlled. |
