PURPOSE:To shorten time required for sensing ignition, by making the titled burner ignite at a low air-fuel ratio for starting of combustion and at the same time a sensor is preheated prior to the starting of the combustion. CONSTITUTION:At the starting time of combustion, a quantity of air of blower 15 becomes low, which becomes lower than the quantity of air necessary for fuel to be supplied from a fuel pump 16. In other word, it is a low air-fuel ratio and an improvement in ignition performance is contrived by supplying thick mixed gas. Although electromotive force is generated by sensiting an identical state with a kind of incomplete combustion which is obtained simultaneously with ignition of a burner as the ignition of the burner is performed at a low M value, large electromotive force is generated simultaneously with the ignition of the burner as the sensor 25 is preheated by a preheater 73 and is being turned into a sensible state. With this construction, drastic shortening of time required for sensing of the ignition becomes possible. |
