PURPOSE:To enable formation of a pulverized coal combustion flame consisting of a straight-flowing inner flame and a swirling outer flame and to reduce production of NOX, by dividing fuel into a swirl flow and a straight flow. CONSTITUTION:The outlet of a pulverized coal nozzle 26 is concentrically divided into a primary fuel nozzle 28 and a secondary fuel nozzle 29 by a discharge divider 25. An outer wall 27 of the primary nozzle 28 is formed in the shape of a cone, having an injection end with a smallest size, so that a primary fuel is injected to produce a straight flow. The secondary fuel nozzle 29 is disposed at the outer periphery of the primary fuel nozzle 28, the flow passage of a secondary fuel is formed by the outer wall of a discharge divider 25 and the inner wall of the pulverized coal nozzle 26, and the secondary fuel is injected to form a swirl flow. Further, swirl vanes 30 are attached in the nozzle. This permits effective reduction in an amount of NOX produced during combustion. |
