PURPOSE:To charge electrostatically a sensitive body to proper potential in the dark, to reduce the scattering of charges in the dark, and to scatter rapidly charges when light is irradiated, by forming a photosensitive layer contg. a specified stilbene compound. CONSTITUTION:This sensitive body has a photosensitive layer 2 contg. at least one kind of stilbene compound represented by general formula I as an effective component on an electrically conductive support 1. In the formula I , X is halogen, Ar is an optionally substituted naphthyl, and (n) is 1 or 2. Compounds represented by formulae II, III are examples of the stilbene compound. Since the stilbene compound causes hardly absorption in the visible light region, a triarylmethane dye, a pyrylium dye or the like is added as a sensitizing dye. The amount of the stilbene compound contained in the photosensitive layer 2 is 30- 70wt%, and that of the sensitizing dye is 0.1-5wt%. |
