PURPOSE:To press a machine body to a traveling surface by means of the pressure difference between the inside and outside by providing an exhaust unit with a small output. CONSTITUTION:When an exhaust unit 4 is driven to discharge the air in a machine body 1, the air flows as shown by arrows, and the pressure in the machine body 1 is slightly reduced comparing to the outside pressure. The machine body 1 is pressed to a vertical wall surface 5 by means of the pressure difference between the inside and outside, and if the friction force between a caterpillar 3 and the vertical wall surface 5 is larger than the total machine weight, this traveling machine stays on the vertical wall surface without being dropped. In addition, if the caterpillar 3 is driven under this condition, this traveling machine can freely travel on the vertical wall surface 5. |
