PURPOSE:To warn of a inter-car distance by providing a refraction plate which makes an angle formed by a straight line from an inter-car distance warning starting point to a refraction surface and the normal line of the refraction surface a critical angle and a reflecter reflecting the headlamp light of the succeeding car passing it. CONSTITUTION:When the headlamp light A1 of the succeeding car enters into an inter-car distance warning reflector 5 at an angle smaller than a critical angle theta against the refraction surface 1c of a refraction plate 1, it is reflected by a reflection sufface 2 in the reverse direction by 180 deg. in a locus of A1 A7. Furthermore, the light B1 entering at an angle larger than the critical angle theta is rflected as B3 and is absorbed into a non-reflection surface 1d. The inclination of the refraction surface 1c is set so that this critical angle theta is made an angle formed by the headlamp light entering from an inter-car distance warning starting point O to the succeeding car and the normal line P to the refraction surface 1c. Thereby, a dangerous inter-car distance during the night travel can be informed of to the succeeding car by means of the reflection of the headlamp light. |
