<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the damage of a magnetic tape by detecting the state of a tape path when an adaptor for standard and miniature cassettes is loaded and stopping the operation of a shift mechanism if the tape path state is not normal. CONSTITUTION:Switches SW1A and SW2A are closed when a stop cover 60 is closed after a miniature cassette 34 is loaded, and a power supply at the side of a device 1 is applied to a motor 37 through a terminal 70. Thus a tape loading action is carried out within an adaptor 30, and a tape path 56 is formed. When the tape loading action is over, a tape path detection switch SW6A is closed by a switch cam 42. Then a switch SW5A is switched as shown by a broken line in the figure to stop the working of the motor 37. When the SW6A is closed, a loading end signal is delivered to the device 1 from a terminal 72. Thus the motor 37 is driven again to move a housing 11 down, and the adaptor 30 is loaded to the device 1.</p> |
