PURPOSE:To attain picture formation providing a clear color dye picture without expert skill by superposing a picture on a sheet including sublimate dye to a screen and an image receiving member and gaseous phase transferring the sublimate dye in the picture on the sheet to the image receiving member through the screen. CONSTITUTION:The screen gaseous phase transfers only the sublimate dye practically and prevents the adhesion of resin or the like. A screen <=1,000mu thickness and >=10% and <=99% gap ratio (especially, <=250mu thickness and >=40% and <=98% gap ratio) is preferable. The material of the screen requires heat resistance so that an obtained picture is prevented from bad influence due to heat at the gaseous phase transfer. For instance, a screen consisting of metal, cellulose or fluoric resin is used. The thickness of the picture on the sheet including the sublimate dye may be 0.5-50mu, 1-20mu, is more preferable. Any dye to be sublimed at 100-250 deg.C can be used. |
