PURPOSE:To wash the smudges on a wheel thoroughgoingly, by jetting warm water to the wheel while rolling it on a rotative roller upon removal from a car body. CONSTITUTION:A wheel W being removed from a car body is mounted on rotative rollers 6, 6' and 7, 7'. Then, an air cylinder 12 is set in motion and the wheel W is held with an arm rod 8, while another air cylinder 20 is as well made to operate, nippingly pressing the wheel W in between from both directions by means of wheel pincher rollers 16. Driving a motor 9, each of rotative rollers 6, 6' and 7, 7' is rotated via a chain 11. With this constitution, the wheel W rotates by frictional force, jetting warm water from symmetrical warm water nozzles 23 and 23' at both sides to the wheel W in rotation, thus the wheel W is washed clean. |
