This invention concerns a method of thermally insulating a house and concurrently facilitating moisture transfer in the house. The carbamide foamed plastic used today to provide additional insulation for a house, has problems with drying out during application, easily fills with water, and thus hardly provides any thermal insulation and benefits the growth of mould and smells generated by this. If the density of the carbamide foamed plastic used can raised so much by an invention that only moisture and water vapour and not accumulated water can exist in the cells of the foam, moisture and water vapour will diffuse continually from warm material that is in contact with the foam to cold material also in contact with the foam. The warm material, e.g. crossbar frames, floor material, internal wall material stays drier. From the point of view of the invention, the foam can be placed in all air gaps (5,10,11) and other spaces in walls, floors and roofs. Rainwater can thus not penetrate into the house, the growth of mould and smells will disappear, the effects of energy saving will increase etc.<IMAGE> |
