PURPOSE:To improve reliability and function, by heating refrigerant on a suction side of a refrigerant compressor with use of engine coolant, and simultaneously controlling flow of the engine coolant to a heater according to inlet temperature of the heater. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting operation of the device, engine coolant 13 of high temperature is circulated for a fixed time as determined by a timer circuit in a coontrol section 15 to evaporate liquid refrigerant fed to a suction pipe 10. In the case that the device is operated at low temperature of atmosphere, the refrigerant flowing in the suction pipe 10 is in a mixed state of gas and liquid, and therefore an opening degree of an adjusting valve 14 is increased through the control section 15 by detecting a refrigerant temperature at an inlet of a heater 11 by a sensor 16. As a result, flow of the engine coolant 13 is increased and the refrigerant temperature is raised to prevent return of the liquid refrigerant and frosting in an evaporator 9. Thus, function and reliability may be improved. |
