PURPOSE:T improve the application efficiency of a memory device as long as no obstade exists in practical use even in case an error is detected from the output data given from the memory device, by detecting that the counted value reaches a reference level, then deciding that a memory unit device is in a faulty state. CONSTITUTION:When input data (dw) and an address (a) are spplied to a memory device, a converting device DEC converts a part of the address (a) and selects a memory card MEMi which is used as an absolute subject. Then the data (dw) is stored in the address (a). A processor CPU accumulates the counted values collected from counter circuits CNT1-CNTn for each prescribed period every one of memory cards MEM1-MEMn. Then the result of each accumulation is compared with a reference value stored previously after a prescribed period elapses. If the result of accumulation that reaches the reference result of comparison is detected, the card MEMj (j: 1-n) corresponding to the result of accumulation is decided that it is in a faulty state. Then the storage of the data (dw) and the extraction of the output data (dr) are discontinued. |
