PURPOSE:To prevent adhesion of a developer and to provide sufficient frictional electrostatic charge by forming a part related to the regulation of the layer thickness of the developer at least out of a layer thickness regulating member/developer carrier by highly releasable resin containing at least one of hard fine powder or conductive fine granules. CONSTITUTION:The proper quantity of toner 7 is supplied from a hopper 8 to the periphery of a sleeve 6 rotated in the arrow direction. Since the toner 7 consists of high resistance one-component magnetic toner, the toner 7 is carried on the periphery of the sleeve 6 by the magnetic force of a magnet 9 arranged in the sleeve 6. The toner 7 is regulated by a layer thickness regulating member B so as to be set up to a prescribed layer thickness and charge due to frictional electrostatic charge is sufficiently provided to the toner 7. The layer thickness regulating member B is pressed against the periphery of the sleeve 6 by proper pressure due to the magnetic force of the magnet 9 and the magnetic toner 7 is held between the sleeve 6 and the member B by said pressure, but since only a coating film 5 having sufficient releasing property is contacted with the magnetic toner 7, said procedure can prevent adhesion of the magnetic toner 7 to the layer thickness regulating member B which is an defect generated by the conventional technique. |
