PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a motor and a drive device for the motor at the abnormal time by providing a temperature detector on the IC chip for driving the motor and a motor drive current interrupting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A temperature detector 7 and a motor drive current interrupting circuit 8 are provided on the chip of a motor driving IC5. When the chip temperature of the IC5 becomes the prescribed value or higher, a large current is flowed in the IC5 at the abnormal time to interrupt the motor drive current, the chip temperature then rises, the detector 7 operates the circuit 8, thereby interrupting the supply of the control voltage VC to the output circuit 6. Thus, the drive current flowed from the output circuit 6 to the motor 1 is interrupted. |
