PLATE GRID OF LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To increase current collecting performance and decrease grid weight by forming as an acute angle an interior angle to a long axis direction of an active mass holding cell in the lower part of expanded lead alloy grid than an interior angle to a long axis direction of a cell in the center of grid. CONSTITUTION:A net-shaped spreading part 1 is integrally formed with an upper frame 4 having a lug 3 by expanding belt-shaped lead-calcium alloy. Active mass holding cells 6 of a triangle and a rhombus in the grid lower part 5 are formed so that an interior angle to a long axis is about 20 deg. to prevent extension of a frame bone 7, and an interior angle to a long axis of a cell 6' in the grid center part is formed as an obtuse angle of 90 deg. or more. The cell 6' becomes a rhombus of a right angle or perpendicular form and a conductive path from the cell 6 to lug 3 by frame bone is shortened and conductive resistance in current collecting is decreased. The number of frame bones of the cell 6' are decreased than the those of the cell 6, resulting in decrease of grid weight.
