<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a space required for an air container terminal by arranging the air container terminal in an airport with the air container base arranged outside the airport, and conveying the containers arranged in the airport base in the order of flights and of loading them onto an airplane by use of a conveying car. CONSTITUTION:A platform 3 equipped with cross-feed roll conveyors 4A, 4B for loading and unloading air containers on a conveying truck 1 is provided on a container base outside an airport in communication with the air container terminal of the airport via the conveying truck 1 travelling on a rail 2. Delivery trucks 7A, 7B are provided for effecting container conveyance over between the respective stock conveyors 4A, 4B, between large- and small-scaled container racks 9..., 10..., and between container conveyance stock conveyors 17. And, after arranging the containers on the respective rucks 9, 10 in the order flights and of loading them on an airplane, the respective containers are successively conveyed to the air container terminal by means of the conveying truck 1.</p> |
