PURPOSE:To compress uniformly sludge deposit and to dehydrate effectively the sludge by providing a leveling-off device on a supplying table connected to a compressing press, and leveling off the sludge deposit so as to house the same into a compressing frame. CONSTITUTION:When tempered granular sludge is charged to a prescribed amt. in a weighing hopper 17, the sludge is charged into a supplying device 19 above a lower filter cloth 5 to form a sludge deposit, A leveling-off device 18 scrapes the sludge deposit to a specified height in conformity with the device 19 by means of a scraping blade 37 which is moved back and forth in parallel with the cloth 5 by a rod 35A moved in and out by a cylinder 35 to cut the head part of the sludge deposit. The scraped sludge deposit is uniformly housed in a compressing frame and is evenly pressurized by a pressurizing rod. |
