PURPOSE:To provide an enteric drug having improved bioavailability, etc., by coating a drug with a mixture of an enteric polymer and a polyanionic polymer soluble under low pH condition. CONSTITUTION:An enteric drug can be prepared by coating a drug with a mixture of an enteric polymer (e.g. ethyl acrylate-methacrylic acid copolymer, vinyl acetate-crotonic acid copolymer, etc.) and a polyanionic polymer soluble under low pH condition (e.g. alginic acid, polypectinic acid, carboxymethylcellulose, etc.). In an environment of <1-2 pH, the permeation of the liquid having the above pH in the drug or the release of the drug component into the liquid can be prevented, and on the contrary, the drug can be dissolved, dispersed or disintegrated in an environment having an arbitrary pH value higher than the above level. The molecular weight of the above polymeric substance and polymer is preferably the one corresponding to the viscosity of <=500cps measured at 25 deg.C and 7.0pH as a 0.1% (W/W) aqueous solution with the B-type viscometer.
