The present invention relates to radar technology and, more specifically, relates to a method and an apparatus of recognizing a scan pattern of a radar which extract a feature vector using pulse amplitude (PA) information of a collected pulse, and applying the same to a support vector machine (SVM) in each scan pattern to recognize the scan pattern of the radar. According the present invention, a rate of error for scan pattern recognition is able to be minimized.
