PURPOSE:To constitute a titled device so that a user is able to know easily an effective picture forming range by providing a means for limiting and controlling a range of a light irradiated from a light source, to the effective picture forming range, and a means controlling a light irradiated to an original. CONSTITUTION:When an original is covered with a cover 4a and placed on an original platen glass 4, and a lamp 12 is turned on by a switch, an irradiating light 12a passes through a gap part 17a directly or by being reflected by a passive reflector 13. Thereafter, the light 12a transmits through the original placing plate glass 4 through a lens 14 and reaches an original 5. An optical image reaching this original 5 is shaped to a rectangular shape by the gap part 17a of a gap plate 17, and this shape coincides with an effective picture forming range 5a. When this optical image is irradiated, the irradiated range is seen brightly, and a character, etc. of the original 5 are seen transparently. The range to which the optical image is not irradiated is dark, and the effective picture forming range 5a in the original 5 is made clear. |
