The setting device secures bolts, in holes drilled in rock, with the aid of a bonding or cementing agent. The drilling device (2) consists of a sectioned rod drilling unit, to drill a hole (33) longer than the length of the bolt-setting device in the drilling direction. The inserting device (4) has a pushing mechanism (20), to push in a screwbolt (25) which is also longer than this length. The bolt-pushing mechanism can be arranged so as to feed in an endless bolt from a length, or roll, and may incorporate a cutter for this.
