PURPOSE:A sealing material, obtained by incorporating a polyether amide with if necessary a polyamide resin and an acidmodified olefinic copolymer, having a moderate flexibility and improved oil and water resistance and high strength retention, and moldable well by injection molding. CONSTITUTION:A sealing material obtained by incorporating 40-100pts.wt. polyether amide with 60-0pts.wt. polyamide resin and 60-0pts.wt. acid-modified olefinic copolymer to make the total amount 100pts.wt. The polyether amide is a block copolymer containing hard segments of nylon 6, etc. and soft segments of a polyether component. The polyether component is produced from a diamine such as a mixture of bis-(3-aminopropyl)-polytetrahydrofuran, etc. as a starting material and contains 8-60wt% polyether blocks for use. The acid-modified olefinic copolymer is preferably ethylene-butene-1-(maleic acid (anhydride) copolymer containing 0.01-20wt% monomer containing acidic groups.
