PURPOSE:To roll an H-beam free from the deviation of a web center and excellent in dimensional accuracy by adjusting a pass line by moving vertically horizontal rolls in accordnce with the dimensional variation of the flange width of a rolling material and moving vertically vertical rolls to make them follow the adjustment of pass line. CONSTITUTION:The height H of a pass line is adjusted by vertically moving horizontal rolls 8 in accordance with the variation of the flange width of a rolling material 10. Vertical rolls 1 are moved vertically by the quantity DELTAa of the deviation to make them follow the adjustment. In case of increasing the height H of the pass line by DELTAa, for instance, inner chocks 4 are raised by shifting taper blocks 7 in the inverse draft directions d'. Then the rolls 1 are raised to increase the height of pass line by DELTAa with respect to the stand center. In this way, an H-beam free from the deviation of web center and excellent in dimensional accuracy is manufactured. |
