PURPOSE:To prevent a ring groove from cavitation corrosion in a wet liner equipped with an over-tube to prevent cavitation corrosion by providing a bent part at the lower end of the above-said tube for covering a part of the ring groove. CONSTITUTION:A wet liner 1 is fitted between an upper part plate 6 for fastening a cylinder head and a lower part plate 7 corresponding thereto. In ring grooves 4 and 5 in the lower part of the above-said liner 1, O-rings 9 and 10 are respectively fitted for making sealing by O-rings 9, 10 and the lower part plate 7. For protecting against the cavitation corrosion caused on the surface of a wet liner 1 on both sides of a narrow part 8 of a cooling water passage, an over-tube 2 is wound up round the said liner 1. At this stage, a right angle bent part 14 is provided along the upper face of the ring groove 4 at the lower end of the above-said tube 2. This construction permits to prevent the cavitation corrosion caused on the upper surface of the ring groove 4. |
