Protective material for adhesive surfaces and process for its manufacture

Protective material for adhesive surfaces. The material consists of a film obtained from a mixture of 50 to 85 parts by weight of a polymer and of 15 to 50 parts by weight of a metal soap. A nonionic surface-active agent may be added to these two constituents. The film may be formed as a coating layer on a support material. To manufacture this protective material, the abovementioned mixture is heated to obtain a homogeneous paste which is extruded either to give a film or to form a coating layer deposited continuously on a support material. Usable for the manufacture of sanitary towels comprising at least one adhesive strip. <IMAGE>
