PURPOSE:To make a normal honk soundable at all times, by inserting a gasket capable of passing air through along with watertightness inside a cover into space between a flange of the cover and a diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:In case of a diaphragm type horn for an automobile that attaches a diaphragm 8 to a perihperal flange 2 so as to block up a cover 1 and makes the diaphragm 3 free of vibration by means of a built-in vibration generator 4 inside the cover 1, a paper gasket 6 produced by adding a waterproof agent to pulp as a main component through beater treatment is inserted into space between the diaphragm 3 and the flange 2. As for the quality of paper in this gasket 6, it is recommended to use thick filter paper or the like, while as for the waterproof agent, paraffin or the like is used for that. In this case, a rate of 2-5% paraffin is added as beater addition to the pulp for papermaking, through which the said gasket is produced by way of such processes as dewatering, pressure applying, drying, cutting and so on. An automobile horn secured in this way enjoys permeability in addition to watertightness so that a normal honk can be emitted at all time when necessary. |
