发明名称 PREPARATION OF GOLD OR PLATINUM BY MERCURY AND PROTON OR NEUTRON
摘要 PURPOSE:To prepare gold or platinum by pick-up reaction, by dissipating one or two protons from mercury by colliding a proton or a neutron having proper energy with a mercury atom. CONSTITUTION:One proton or neutron accelerated to proper energy is collided with mercury atom having 80 protons to drive off one proton by pick-up reaction in balance and mercury is converted to gold having 79 protons by atomic conversion. Similarily, one proton or neutron controlled to predetermined energy is collided with the mercury atom and two protons are dissipated in balance to obtain platinum having 78 protons. The proton to be collided with the mercury atom is quantiatively obtained by an elementary particle accelerator and the speed thereof can be freely controlled. In addition, the neutron can be practically used in a large amount free-of-charge as the byproduct of a nuclear reactor.
