<p>The clamping yoke has a baseplate (1) to which two side plates (2,3) are attached by bolts. The tops of the side plates are connected by a bridge plate (4) also secured by bolts. The test piece is held between a pressure piece (7) and the bridge (4) by two vertically-mounted hydraulic cylinders (5,6). The thicknesses of the bridge and pressure piece are slightly less than that of the test piece. When milling operations are complete, the vertical cylinders release their grip and horizontal cylinders act on vertical bars (10,11) through spacers (8,9) to eject the test piece.</p> |
