摘要 PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of a rotary engine, by employing such an arrangement that the lower portion of an eccentric part of a main shaft is pulled in the direction of rotation by the explosive pressure acted to a rotor through provision of an intermediate rotor shaft so that the rotational force, revolutional force and inertial force are all acted in the same direction. CONSTITUTION:A rotary engine, in which the apex portions of a trifoliate rotor 7 move along a helicoidal curve constituting the inner surface of a fixed outer casing 12 and the volume of the space defined between the outer casing and the rotor 7 is changed continuously, is designed to have an intermediate rotor shaft 5 disposed between an eccentric part 1 of a main shaft and the rotor 7 so that the upper portion of said eccentric part 1 as viewed from the side of explosive pressure s not pushed by the force applied to the rotor 7 but its lower portion is pulled in the direction of rotation. Resultantly, at the position about 20-90 deg. after the top dead point where the explosive pressure is high, the inertial force, rotational force and revolutional force are all acted in the same direction, so that it is enabled to obtain a higher thermal efficiency than a reciprocating engine.
