PURPOSE:To contrive conservation of equipment and the power consumption costs of a blower by simply preventing the leak of a sealing liquid, by supplying a magnetic liquid to both end parts of the seal zone provided to the gap between a pan side wall and a wind box side wall while magnetizing a magnet to form a weir. CONSTITUTION:In a sintered ore cooler 9 wherein air is upwardly fed through a wind box 3 by a blower 4 while the sintered ore fed from an ore feed part 9 is transferred to a pan 2 to cool the sintered ore on the pan 2 and the cooled ore is discharged from a discharge cylinder 6 through a hood, a magnetic liquid 16 is supplied into the sealing liquids at both end parts in the moving direction of the pan 2 in a seal zone constituted of a water seal plate 14 provided to the side wall of the pan 2 and the groove provided to the side wall of the plenum box 3 and magnetized through the magnet 8 provided to the seal zone wall part to form a weir. By this mechanism, the leak of the seal liquid 13 from the end parts is prevented to pool said liquid while the leak of cooling air is blocked to reduce the load of the blower 4 by the simple equipment.
