摘要

PURPOSE:To ensure a stable recording operation for a long time minimizing wear of a recording body with a simple construction by employing a shape- memory alloy as recording body. CONSTITUTION:A recording body 2 made of a shape-memory alloy presents the shape as indicated by the broken line when not heated while the end thereof presses a thermosensitive recording paper 1 presenting the shape as indicated by the solid line when heated. As heating source of the recording body 2, a heater can be provided on the carriage 3 or current can be made to flow through the recording body 2 itself to generate a self-heating by a Joule heat. The temperature at the end when heated shall be enough to form a color in the heatsensitive recording paper 1. This enables the recording body 2 to contact the heatsensitive recording paper 1 without use of any release mechanism only when recording is needed thereby minimizing wear at the end parts.
