PURPOSE:To prevent a skid condition from being set again, by constituting a cut valve system with two cut valves which are connected in series, with either one of the valves being connected in parallel with a restrictor so that the other one of the valves is alone opened just after the elimination of the skid condition to gradually increase the braking pressure. CONSTITUTION:When a skid condition is eliminated after a cut valve 44 is closed due to the skid condition, a small-diameter piston 140 in a drake hydraulic pressure adjusting piston moves to the right to open a second cut valve 162 at first. therefore, hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder is fed to rear wheel cylinders through a passage 32, a narrow hole 164, the valve 162 and a passage 38. Accordingly, the hydraulic pressure of the rear wheel cylinder is gradually increased due to the provision of the narrow hole 164, and therefore, the rear wheels is prevented from being again set in the skid-condition. Meanwhile, at the beginning of braking, both first and second cut valves 164, 162 are opened since the above-mentioned small-diameter piston 140 is positioned at its rightmost position, thereby brake fluid may sufficiently pass so that a delay in braking operation may be prevented. |
