The electrical power point has a main housing with a three-pin connection facility. The pin connection holes are arranged in a line with a centre earth and an outer live and outer neutral. A profiled recess provides a location for a mechanical interlock plate having two tapered sections corresp. to the live an neutral pin positions. A pair of coil springs forces the plate into position over the live and neutral socket holes. A circular cover plate locates over the socket pin holes. When the pins of a plug are inserted the plate is pushed sideways to allow access to the holes.
