PURPOSE:To embody a pattern in which bright and frosted metallic colors are existent, mixed with each other on the surface of a substrate sheet, by combining the pretreatment of said substrate sheet with the vacuum deposition of metal. CONSTITUTION:A brightness multiplier such as synthetic resin, e.g. nitrocellulose or acryl, and a brightness reducing agent prepd. by making a powdery body such as TiO2 or clay pasty are applied as a pattern onto a substrate sheet such as paper or cloth. Hence, a pattern comprising latent bright and nonbright parts is formed. Then, a metal such as Al is deposited onto the pretreated surface of said sheet by a vacuum deposition method. Hence, the latent bright part is turned into a bright metallic color, while the latent nonbright part is turned into a frosted metallic color. Consequently, the sheet having an extremely novel and beautiful pattern is obtained. |
