PURPOSE:To prevent the sealing oil leaked to the interior side from entering a turbine by a method wherein an annular pocket is provided so as to surround a turbine shaft at the interior side of the shaft seal of the turbine and buffer gas is supplied to said pocket. CONSTITUTION:A pocket 9 for sealing oil is formed on the outer peripheral side of a retainer ring 7 fixed onto a turbine shaft 1. A pocket 18 is provided on the interior side from the pocket 9. Buffer gas 17, which is extracted from a high pressure working gas line, is supplied to the pocket 18. The sealing oil leaked to the interior side allows to flow in a packet 15, but does not allow to flow in the packet 18 against the flow of the buffer gas 21 flowing from the pocket 18 through a labyrinth seal 22 in the pocket 18. Accordingly, the leaked sealing oil can be prevented from entering a turbine. |
