Accumulators, esp. those of lead-acid type are made by assembling a pack of alternating positive and negative electrodes, interleaved with a separator material; inserting the pack in a plastics bag and adding a quantity of electrolyte; surrounding the plastic bag with water and passing an electric current through the accumulator pack; and finally removing the pack from the water and inserting it in a container.
