PURPOSE:To perform the generation of electricity due to waste heat recovery in good efficiency by utilizing exhaust gas of which the temp. is largely varied, by providing a gas heater and a dry heat accumulator to an apparatus for generating electricity by recovering the high temp. exhaust gas energy of a shaft furnace. CONSTITUTION:The furnace top gas of a shaft furnace 1 is passed through a dust catcher 2 to remove large dust and, after even fine dust is further completely removed by a dry electric dust collector, a gas turbine 7a is rotated to generate electricity while operating a dynamo 8a directly connected to said turbine 7 and the heat possessed by the furnace top exhaust gas of the shaft furnace 1 is recovered while availably converted to electricity. In this case, because the temp. of the furnace to exhaust gas of the shaft furnace 1 is changed corresponding to the furnace situation of the shaft furnace, when the temp. of the exhaust gas is low, coke oven gas or the furnace top gas of the shaft furnace is burnt by a burner 9 to be heated to a proper temp. and, when the temp. of the exhuast gas is abnormally raised by in-furnace blowing-through, the heat of said gas is absorbed by a heat accumulator 10 due to grating brick to retrieve thermal shock and average gas temp. is obtained to operate a power generator in good efficiency. |
