摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance finishing accuracy by reducing strain, by applying specific uniform elongation to a metal strip piece being the lead frame material of an integrated circuit element wherein narrow Al is clad to a strip shaped metal matrix material by elongating said strip piece to a longitudinal direction under an atmosphere having a specific temp. or more. CONSTITUTION:A metal strip piece 10 being the lead frame of an integrated cicuit element which is delivered from a stock roll 20 and obtained by cladding narrow Al to a strip shaped metal matrix material is passed between bridle rolls 22, 22 arranged in opposed relationship so as to be spaced apart to each other in a predetermined space and the heating chamber 24 provided between both rolls. A heating atmosphere with 450 deg.C or more is formed in the heating chamber 24 and peripheral speed difference is imparted to the bridle rolls 22, 22 to elongate the metal strip piece 10 to a longitudinal direction and uniform elongation of 0.3-1% is imparted thereto. This metal strip piece 10 is subjected to press molding and bending processing to fabricate the lead frame for the integrated circuit element.
