PURPOSE:To promote atomization of fuel by a method wherein the fuel from a fuel injection valve is collided directly against a thin plate in a suction pipe, which is isolated from the inner surface of the pipe by an air path. CONSTITUTION:The fuel, injected from the injection valve 10, collides against the thin plate 26 arranged in the injecting direction of the fuel. The outer and inner surfaces of the thin plate 26 are provided with the air paths 27a, 27b respectively and the thin plate 26 is isolated from the inner surface of the suction pipe 2 by the air path 27a. The fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 10 collides against the outer surface of the thin plate 26 and is atomized by air flowing through the paths 27a, 27b. The injected fuel is introduced into the air path of a choked part 4 and the atomization as well as the pulverizing of the fuel may be promoted by the air whose speed is increased. |
