NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I {R<1> is H or acetyl; R<2> is H, benzyl or acetyl; R<3> is H; R<4> is acetyl; R<3> and R<4> may together form phthalide group; R<5> is H, allyl, -C(NH)CCl3 or group of formula II [R<6> is H, acetyl or benzyl; R<7> is H or acetyl; R<8> is H or -O-C(NH)CCl3; R<9> is -OBn, -OAc, H or group of formula III (R<10> is H or benzoyl)]}. USE:Cancer cell-relating antigen and glucide-differentiation antigen. PREPARATION:The compound of formula IV (Ac is acetyl; Bn is benzyl; Phth is phthalyl) is made to react with the compound of formula V and, if necessary, the protecting group is eliminated or the product is acetylated.
