PURPOSE:To prepare an Al-alloy having deep drawing property, by a method wherein an Al-alloy cast ingot containing a specific amount of Fe and brought to a specific range in a Fe/Si ratio is subjected to uniform heat treatment at a specific temp. or more and, after hot rolling, cold rolling and intermediate annealing, the obtained alloy plate is subjected to finish cold rolling under a specific rolling ratio to reduce the plate thickness thereof to a specific thickness. CONSTITUTION:An Al-alloy cast ingot containing 0.4-0.7wt% Fe and Si in a Fe/Si(wt. ratio) of 1.5-2.5 is subjected to uniform heat treatment at 500 deg.C or more. Subsequently, hot rolling, cold rolling and intermediate annealing are applied to the heat treated ingot while the obtained plate is subjected to finish cold rolling under a rolling ratio of 15% or more to reduce the plate thickness thereof to 5mm. or less. By this method, an Al-alloy plate is produced having deep drawing property which has four deep drawing lugs in a direction 45 deg. to a rolling direction, has a lug ratio of 2.5% or less and is excellent in wall thickness distribution after deep drawing.
