PRINTED-MATTER INSPECTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable to accurately inspect a printed matter by effectively preventing an inspection-disturbing factor such as a jump of the rear end of a printed sheet in a sheet printing machine by providing a sheet-retaining mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A pair of air cylinders 108 and a guide shaft 110 are secured onto a jig 109, and a supporting bearer 107 is moved upward or downward along the shaft by the drive of the cylinders 108. Such a mechanism is so provided as to prevent an engaging pawl and a sheet-retaining roll 101 from colliding by pressing the roll 101 on a final impression cylinder if contacting pressure is always applied when preventing the jump of the rear end of the sheet. While the pawl passes the roll 101 and the sheet is pressurized by the impression cylinder and rubber cylinder by such a mechanism, the roll 101 stands by vertically above the impression cylinder, and can contact and press the sheet immediately before the rear end of the sheet is passed out from the pressing position to become free.
