PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of the quality of a recorded image by using the electrostatic force for electrostatic charge of the surface of a photosensitive body to stick a powdery abrasive to the photosensitive body and cleaning the abrasive on the photosensitive body in a cleaning part to grind the photosensitive body automatically. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photosensitive body 21 is charged positively by positive corona discharge from a charger 25. At this time, charger 24 for peeling is not operated, the surface of the photosensitive body which is charged positively is rotated in the direction of an arrow and reaches an abrasive applying part 34. An abrasive 33 is scattered by a fur brush 32 and is brought into contact with the surface of the photosensitive body 21. The abrasive 33 is stuck to the electrostatic force of the surface of the photosensive body 21, and the surface of the photosensitive body 21 is ground while scraping the abrasive 33 with a cleaner 22. Thereafter, the surface of the photosensitive body 21 is destaticized by an eraser lamp 31. A charger 30 is not operated in this operation. Thus, the photosensitive body is ground automatically to prevent the degradation of the quality of recorded image. |
