The invention relates to an arrangement for protecting a flexible air duct which alternately consists of air-duct sections and fans. A pressure sensor is allocated to each fan. If the pressure falls below an adjustable minimum pressure value, the pressure sensor switches off all the allocated fans lying indirectly downstream so that the air duct does not collapse. The fans lying upstream remain in operation so that emergency ventilation is maintained.
