In a tyre chain with sections of chain formed from horizontal elements (1) and vertical elements (2), at least some of the horizontal elements (2) of the chain sections which are arranged in the region of the running network and are formed by oval elements are embraced by the legs (4, 5) of vertical elements (3) which are provided with supports (12). The vertical elements (3) which embrace the horizontal elements (1) are pushed over the horizontal elements (1) in the state in which they are bent up in a pincer-like manner, and subsequently pressed together and welded in the region of the end faces of their ends.
