摘要 <p>A method for determining the reverse voltage or overvoltage for an inductor 14, e.g. a generator field coil, used in a rectifying circuit 16. The frequency characteristic curve of the equivalent inductance of the inductor is plotted by applying a variable frequency signal across the inductor. The presence or absence of a resonance is checked to determine the corresponding reverse voltage Vdi, in which a provisional frequency is used in relation to the frequency characteristic curve. this step continuing until the proper resonance frequency is found. The reverse voltage Vdi when the forward current is zero is calculated using the equivalent inductance thus found. The determined reverse voltage is considered for a withstanding voltage capability when the rectifying circuit is designed. In the case of a brushless generator, if no resonance is found the reverse voltage Vdi is calculated from the leakage inductance at the asynchronous low frequency.</p>
