This disc-transport device is equipped in a way known per se with two drive motors (11, 12), of which the larger ensures rapid starting and further transport and the smaller the transport of the disc-transport carriage (1) at slow crawling speed in front of its end positions. The running time of the two motors is controlled, according to the invention, by means of contact rollers, the revolutions of which are determined preselectably by a time switch (14) controlled by mains frequency. In addition, contactless limit switches (9, 10) ensure that the drive motors are cut off at the right time, a motor brake (13) which responds when current is cut off interrupting exactly the running time of the larger motor (11). An adjustable slipping clutch (17) is additionally provided on the shaft of the smaller motor (12). <IMAGE>
